We are not an Orphan

What is the most important: Making a worry list or a prayer list? We should not even think of having a worry list. Jesus has told us that we can cast all our worries over onto Him.

What a wonderful idea, what a privilege, and what a joy to know and then remember to take Him at His word. Worry never solved a problem, but worry can cause a problem, it will make you sick.

However, we do have a responsibility to do all we can to solve our problems, after we give our worries to Jesus. The next thing we should do is to ask Jesus for his wisdom to help us to solve our troubles.

God did give us a brain and certain talents and abilities that we are to use each day. So with our abilities, our prayer to Jesus to take our worries and give us His wisdom, makes for a great team. Go for it and praise Him for the ways that He is going to help us.

It’s not if we will have worries, problems, or troubles, but when. One of the things to do when they come knocking on our door is to send Jesus to the door.

Scripture tells us that Jesus ever lives to have us knock on His door and ask for His help. He neither sleeps nor slumbers and his throne of grace is always ready to hear from us.

Our Heavenly Father loves us, so we are not to live like an orphan. Worry robs, prayer answers, scripture guides, and Jesus is our peace.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God” (Philippians 4:6 NIV).
