Moderation and Temperance

Moderation means that we have self under control and we do things decently and orderly. Our personality will show kindness, mildness, meekness, gentleness and patience even when we are in a pressure cooker situation.

In other words, we have disciplined our Body, our Soul (mind, will, and emotions), and our spirit.
The Apostle Paul is an exceptional godly example of someone who disciplined himself and taught others what God was teaching him.

One of the Fruits of the Spirit, recorded in the book of Galatians is Temperance, and there is no law that will keep you from sharing this fruit with others.

The word Temperance means that an individual has learned self-control. And will not let things be the master that takes charge of what needs to be put to death or put in last place in our life.

Moderation and Temperance help Believes to bring discipline into their daily living. When we really love Jesus, it is this kind of love that drives us to obedience.

Are you clothing yourself in the Fruit of the Spirit? Doing so will bring a good harvest, which is demonstrating to others that you can have self under control. We are to let moderation be known to everyone.

Moderation and Temperance in your life is control over anything that may take you in a direction that is detrimental to having a closer and closer walk with God.

“For I can do everything God asks me to with the help of Christ who gives me strength and power”
(Philippians 4:13 LB).
