Honor your Father and Mother

Moses writes in the Book of Exodus 20:12, which is the Fifth Commandment that we are to honor our Father and Mother. Moses writes again in the Book of Deuteronomy 5:16 that we are to honor our Father and Mother.

Jesus says in the Book of Matthew 15:4 that we are to honor our Father and Mother. It is a commanded responsibility.

Next we find that Paul writes in the Book of Ephesians 6:2 that we are to honor our Father and Mother.

This Commandment is the only one that God gives us that has a promise. He is faithful to all His promises. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Do you think God intends for us to honor our Father and Mother? I think so and praise the Lord. Also, we are to do it all the days of our life and not just some of the time when we feel like it.

Don’t try to get out of it or work around it somehow. Don’t do it with your lips only, but in deeds too. It must come from your heart. Celebrate your Father and Mother on their Special Day, for sure. God gave you the Father and Mother that you were suppose to have. God doesn’t make mistakes.

“Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you” (Exodus 20:12 NKJ).
