Prayer Thoughts for the Heart


We have all heard the saying that: Honesty is the best policy. I will say that it should be our only policy.

Honesty involves being truthful, upright, fair in our dealing with other people, creditable, trustworthy, sincere, genuine, and always ready to do the right thing, whether the world says it’s right or not.
Honesty must touch every area of our life, at home, at work, or at play. Our tongue must feed honesty to our heart and mind, because we communicate and perform from our heart, and we will practice what we listen to.

Following God’s revealed virtues on how to live is the very best way and purpose to live our life. Let His virtues dwell in your heart and guide your mouth and actions.

Let’s take a little quiz:

- Are you what you seem to be or are you a little deceitful some of the time?
- Are you finding it easy to be dishonest, when it will get you out of trouble?
- Are you telling what you call a little white lie, just by not telling the whole story?
- Are you living for self only or as a wise and upstanding citizen, who places value on having a good reputation and pleasing to God?

Are you practicing any self-control so that all your motives are pure and above board?
