Cross Road Decisions

Every day, day in and day out, we all come to a cross road and must make a decision. Some are very important and some are not, but must be made.

Do you have a consultant to help you decide which road to take? If not I can recommend a very good one, as a matter of fact, they don’t come any better.

Jesus is our consultant and the Bible is our direction book. It has all the directions, maps, wisdom, insight and answers we will need each day at the cross roads.

Jesus sits at the right hand of our Heavenly Father and ever lives to hear our pray for any kind of help. We only have to take the time to consult them.

Also, we can look in His Wonderful Word and remember what we read and we will have many answers on the tip of our tongue when needed.

In the Book of James, it is written that if and when we need godly wisdom, all we have to do is ask for it. This is a wonderful promise, go for it.

Don’t let cross road decisions put you in the valley, because with all the resources available to us, they could put us on the mountain top.

“Whoever gives heed to instructions prospers, and blessed is he who trusts in the Lord”
(Proverbs 16:20 NIV).

“If any of you lack wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt…” (James 1:5-6b NIV).

Build a Foundation from the Truth

We should not dwell on the past or fear what might happen in the future. God is still on the throne and knows what is happening everywhere, even with each one of us. Nothing surprises God as he knows the beginning from the end.

It is better if we concentrate on today. Decide what is most important to you. But do learn from the past by squeezing out anything of value that you should remember and then put it behind you.

Try to love and serve others more and spend your time wisely. Be good to yourself and continue to build your life on a Foundation of Truth. Jesus Christ is Truth and we need to speak Truth today and every day.

The Foundation of Truth we have in our heart will come out of our mouth and it will determine our actions as well as guide our conservations. What we speak lets others see what is in our heart. Let your walk and your talk be pleasing to God and most likely it will be pleasing to others. This will depend on giving time to abiding in God’s Truth.

To abide means to dwell continually in it, not just occasionally. Saturate your mind and heart with God’s Truth. Truth is Truth, not what I decide it will be but what Scripture says Truth is.

Love, Trust, and Truth are the important building blocks for our Foundation for our Christ Driven Life. The blocks must be from the Truth, the real Truth, the only Truth, and God’s Truth – The Holy Bible.

“Jesus answered, I am the way and the truth and the life” (John 14:6).

“I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth” (Third John 1:3).

What Are You Living For?

God asks a lot of questions in scripture, and He does this in order to stir up our conscience. To stir-up something means to get a reaction or cause an emotion that will bring us out of a state of inactivity or indifference.

King Solomon asks a lot of questions in the Book of Ecclesiastes. He was the richest man who has ever lived, but found that THINGS don’t satisfy. He wrote this book when he was in a backslidden condition and was questioning everything under the SUN. In other words, he was far from God but God was where He has always been, just a prayer away.

At the end of the book, he realized that only the fear of God, keeping His commandments, and preparing for eternity future had any true and lasting meaning.

“Here is my final conclusion: fear God and obey His commandments, for this is the entire duty of man. For God will judge us for everything we do, including every hidden thing, good or bad”
(Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 LB).

Forever is a Very Long Time

Few things will last forever. But, praise the Lord, our soul will last forever. A Believer in Jesus Christ will live until death, and then live forever in heaven. Scripture says that absent from the body, present with the Lord.

Forever is a long, long, long time, but God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are from eternity past, and are now in the present, and will go on into eternity future. Their plans for the universe and His people will stand firm forever.

Everything about God will be the same forever. He doesn’t change, not even a shadow of change. He is predictable. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

The Trinity (God, Jesus, & the Holy Spirit) + The Believers in Jesus Christ and does His will = Forever in Heaven.

“The world and its desire pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever” (1 John 2:17 NIV).
