Singing Gladdens the Heart
How often do you sing? Just on Sunday morning at church or occasionally in the shower? If our mind is fixed on God very often, we will be singing every day.
God never sleeps and is ready to hearing our songs of prayer when we are stressed out, sad, weary, tired, sick, fearful, or during any storm that may be brewing in our life.
We should try humming a tune if we don’t know the words. It is amazing how it can gladden our heart and give us the joy of the Lord when we are unhappy. But, we should sing when we are happy, too.
In the Book of Psalms, we can read where King David sings to the Lord that his heart is fixed on God, no matter what his circumstances are. David also calls out to his soul to awake and sing praises to God. Awake and see God’s mercy and truth. Cry out for His help in a humble way and be specific.
We sing to our babies when they are sad, or hungry, or needs our caring comfort, or a glad heart. Our babies coo a sweet sound of love to us and we get so excited and get a happy heart.
We sing hopeful songs at a funeral and it gives us a glad heart at a sad time. Most people enjoy music at any time and any place.
Singing to yourself or listening to music will gladden your heart no matter what, and will change the expression on you face as it sinks into your soul. Bless yourself with a song today.

What Is Better Than Gold?
The Bible records for us comparisons of an ethical way of life to Gold, Silver, Precious Stones, and Wealth. Principles of right and good conduct for us and morals respect others.
We should have lips that speak godly knowledge which is like a rare jewel and better than gold and rubies.
A good man leaves an inheritance of wealth and wisdom to his children.
The tongue of the righteous is choice silver and those who see wisdom finds it and it is better than fine gold.
Loving God’s Commands are worth more than gold, more than pure gold, and can keep us on the righteous path of life.
A kind word rightly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver. The Holy Word of God is more precious than gold and by them is great reward.
An honest life is certainly one to strive for in many ways. How much do you trust another person if they lie to you? Does your trust go down a notch or two when they lie to you a second time. Most likely, after a while, we will avoid a person completely if they continue to lie.
“There is gold and a multitude of rubies, But the lips of knowledge are a precious jewel” (Proverbs 20:15).

Spring Cleaning Time
When I was growing up, I heard this saying, because we cleaned our house a little more in the spring than when we did our weekly cleaning. We would also go to the church the first Saturday in May and clean the church and cemetery. With this thought in mind, let’s think about cleaning our Temple.
Scripture says that a Believer’s Body is the Temple of The Holy Spirit,
(2 Corinthians 6:16 NIV). God bought and paid for us when Jesus died on the Cross. When we accept Jesus’ death and resurrection and thus make Him our Lord and Savior, The Holy Spirit lives in us. Since this is true, we should keep The Holy Spirit’s dwelling place nice and clean and holy.
We should never make out like our Temple is clean when it isn’t. When I would sweep things under the rug and my mother found out about it, she did n’t like it and I had to go do it over again. The same is true with our Temple, we should not try to keep some things under the rug or hide in a closet. Others might not know about it, but God knows and He will not like it.
We should love Jesus enough to want to have a clean mind, a pure heart, and a good soul. The Holy Spirit is our teacher and helps us understand the wisdom teachings of Jesus. When we have godly wisdom, we will have a heart of joy, a mouth of integrity, hands that want to serve others, and our feet will take us along the right path. Spring into action and clean your Temple, you will be glad you did and so will God and others.
Have a Blessed Day,
